Little disappointing

Nice staff, a lot of activities, perfect beachfront location, delicious food and snacks.

Poof rooms (in the photos looks like totally different), looks like everything are really old, need renovation in to rooms and pool zone for sure.

What was the highlight of Gouves Bay by Omilos Hotels

Good

The staff is really kind and the location is good, less then 20 min drive from the airport. As we arrived late, just before 10pm, they reserved some food for us, that was really nice. Also, there was a great dance show on the first night we arrived.

Although the money value of our short (2 night) stay was ok, as we did not plan to spend the day in the hotel, this hotel is much closer to a 3 star hotel than a 4 star; for example there was no elevator in our building, beverages are served in paper/plastic cups and although food was mostly tasty, it is quite simple, and coffe and drinks (we only had non alcoholic) are really really poor quality. There are cats everywhere, which is on the one hand cute and our daughter liked them very much, on the other hand it was not so attractive to see that personel fed them with leftover under the bushes and when one of them scraped my daughter I was worried if she will get some disease. Also, it would habe been nice if the (otherwise well equipped) playground/slides was cleaned - as it was so dirty, that we could not use, but maybe there was a storm during previous night and this was a one time exception.

Wonderful stay at Gouves Bay Hotel

We had a great week at the Gouves Bay Hotel. Big thanks to Rio, Martyna and Antonia for making our stay extra special, keep it up guys:) Overall, it is a family friendly hotel which ticks all the boxes - staff is friendly and attentive, rooms are spacious and clean, food is fresh and varied, entertainment for kids and adults is available throughout the day. Thank you!

Good but to improve

Good hotel in general, the staff was nice and available for us. The room cleaning was done everyday. The equipments around the pool were good. The hotel propose activities during the day (volleyball, darts, waterpolo, yoga). Very good DJ. The beach is just in front of the hotel, quite beautiful and clear water (pebble beach outside but sand insinde). Quite large choice of food (except fruits), food was correct.

All inclusive formula a bit disappointing. No snacks to eat between the meals (except little ham and cheese sandwiches at the bar...). The drinks were awful, even the water, it had the taste of chlory... you have to buy your own water in a supermarket.... It is a shame to keep a ping pong table like this. Volleyball field average, no lines, it is on grass, at the back of the hotel. The pool is quite small. Poor choice of fruits and not very tasteful (apple, orange, melon, watermelon). No fresh juices at the breakfast. Quite cheap night animations, despite the staff were doing their best.

Good value for money, not much else in the area of Gouves but enough at the hotel for a short stay.

The food was very good and varied with a good choice for all meals. The reception area and restaurants were bright and clean and the pool and sunbeds were readily available and comfy.

The cocktails and soft drinks were more like a weak squash or cheap fizzy drink - no real fruit juice available.

Staff was really helpful. Being a vegetarian family, staff specifically Marek helped us every day with the menus at all times of day to ensure we are served with right food. Appreciate his engagement Liked the activities and vibes in the hotel. Rio added energy to the pool area with lovely music all the time Enjoyed my stay

Cleaning in the room could be improved. I observed the bed linens weren’t getting changed for 3 days, they just set the same back. Been a resort near to beach I prefer to sheets changed every day

Wonderful

Staff are very friendly! Was easy to talk to them and they were always available to help if needed. We loved the restaurant. There was always a good choice of food, something for everyone, even fussy eaters. We really loved the Asian food on a Sunday night!! Entertainment wasn't every night but when they had it it was really good. We loved the rock band the most :) We would recommend this place and would come back again!

Home away of home all inclusive

The facility was very clean. The room was sea view with a terrace. There was a bottle of wine in the room some sweets and two bottles of water for free. There was a kettle. The safe cost 2 euro per day. The meals were good with a weekly Asian dinner. Gyros and suflaki a lot of fruits and vegetables.The beverages are local. The cocktails are varied but they were not brands. The staff is very kind and polite. The stretching lessons were very good. Victoria the receptionist was very attentive. Nikola and were very serviceable. Our maid was super she made up the beds perfectly.

The floaded bathroom from the shower that that most of animation was made by the computer and they took 5 euro for every bingo card. It took several minutes the water to warm.

Price vs quality it is good.

All the employes are really nice and are attempts to your needs all the time. At the beginning we've received another room at we've booked, but the day after we've clarified the situation and inmediatelly we've received a new one in the new building, which is really confortable. The rooms pictures from the main building, or the original part, are not showed in Booking. In my opinion, those rooms should be showed as well cuz are really different to those which they publish the hotel or from the new building. Food is really good and drinks are always available. Offers about activities like ping-pong are all the time available and there shows on the night like live music are always present and really good as well.

The showers in the rooms are to the same floor's level and you dont have any door or curtain in order to be isolated. In consequence, all your bathroom is after some minutes totally damp, no matter how carefully you are during you take the shower.

Gouves Bay Hotel is a lovely place to stay!

Gouves Bay hotel is a lovely place. Super clean, relaxed, modern, our room was a little on the small side but we had a balcony which made all the difference. The staff are just brilliant - kind, helpful, fun and professional. The food is plentiful, tasty, every day they change the menu and always have a wide variety of meat, fish, veggies/salads deserts... I put on at least a stone in weight! Cretan white wine on tap - just yum. The restaurant closes quite early - 9.30pm and then after you need to get all-inclusive drinks from the pool bar, which would be fine if they served more than a thimbleful! Entertainment was classy, fun and finishes at 11pm. Gouves itself is a peaceful place with lots of lovely beaches. The people are wonderful. I fell in love with Greece during my stay there...if you're looking for nightlife and high-energy holiday, this is not the place for you. If you want quality, tranquility and comfortability, then this is for you!
